These terms describe how J&R Handy Work LLC quotes, schedules and performs work. Hiring us for a remodel means agreeing to the basics below.

Estimates

Estimates are free and are based on what we can see when we visit. If the job turns out to be bigger than what was visible — rot behind a wall, old plumbing that has to be redone, a floor that hides a bigger problem — we tell you before doing any extra work, and no extra work happens without your OK.

Scheduling and access

We show up when we say we will. For a remodel to move smoothly we need a way in — someone home, a key, a code or a lockbox — and water and power on at the property. If a date needs to move on either side, you hear it from us first and we set the next available one.

Your home

We treat your home like it is ours — careful with finishes, fixtures and anything fragile, and we clean up as we go. Tell us at the estimate about anything delicate or special, like a stone counter, a hardwood floor, a pet in the house or a surface that needs a specific product.

Payment

The price agreed at the estimate is the price, unless the scope changes and we agree on the change together. Payment terms for larger remodels are discussed before the work starts, so there are no surprises on either side.
